what is this?
A leaderboard where outbidding websites outbid each other for rank. outbid.lol launched, went viral, and spawned a wave of pay-to-rank clones within days. Someone had to build the leaderboard for the leaderboards. We are someone.
is this a joke?
It's a parody with a fully functional cash register. The irony is load-bearing.
what exactly am I paying for?
A featured listing placement: your name, link and message on a public ranked list, at the level you paid, delivered the moment the payment clears. It's a digital advertising service. No auction takes place, nothing is won, nobody gets a payout — your money buys the placement and the placement stays even when others place higher. Only your rank moves.
why would an outbidding site pay to be here?
Same reason people pay on their sites: attention, clicks, and the deeply human need to sit above a competitor in a numbered list. Also: screenshots of this board are excellent marketing for your clone.
what happens when I get outbid?
You slide down one row and feel exactly what your users feel. We consider this a feature. Raising your level is one button away and charges only the difference.
what is the 'for the love of the game' arena?
The ego arena. No links, no product — you place your own name and get a rank and a title that scales with the amount. Entry starts at $100 because vanity should cost something. The #1 is, officially, the richest of the rich.
can outbid.lol list itself here?
We'd be honored. The recursion must grow.
can I expense this?
outbidception is a genuine digital service: you buy a listing placement and get a real receipt from Stripe, VAT handled where applicable. Whether your accountant signs off on "ranked #1 for the love of the game" as a marketing expense is strictly between you, them, and your conscience. We are not your tax advisor. We are barely a website.
is there a badge / an API?
Yes. Every listing gets a live badge at outbidception.lol/badge/<listing-id> — embed it on your site (<img src=…>) and it shows your current rank and level, updated live. Your listing id is in the public API at /api/board, which you're welcome to build on. Free backlinks for you, free propaganda for us.
are there refunds?
No. All placements are final — the service is fully delivered when your listing appears. Duplicate charges and technical failures are the exceptions; see the refund policy.
can someone build a leaderboard of leaderboards of leaderboards?
Legally we can't stop you. Spiritually we encourage you. We'll take spot #1 on it.
